What are your Favorite Gourmet Pizza Toppings? Here’s my list…
What do gourmet pizza toppings/ingredients have to do with Mike’s Road Trip? Well, I eat out a lot and am quite the pizza connoisseur, so I thought I’d come up with a list of my favorite pizza ingredients to inspire all the pizzeria’s out there. Mike’s Road Trip is all about trying new things. Tell me which is your favorite? Here are mine, in no particular order…
- Fresh…and even dried figs
- Roasted garlic (raw sucks, it stays with you forever)
- Thinly sliced Yukon Gold potatoes
- Roasted Yams or Sweet Potatoes.
- Grilled asparagus (Note: Makes your pee smell)
- Pine nuts
- Roasted Corn (BTW, roasted makes everything better)
- Roasted Chicken
- Thinly sliced melon
- Artichoke hearts
- Grilled Shrimp
- Fresh Mozzarella (aka Buffalo cheese)
- Pear (thinly sliced of course)
- Feta Cheese
- Roasted butternut squash
- Roasted bell peppers
- A classic…fresh Basil
- Goat Cheese
- Sun-dried tomatoes
- Pesto

Funny the top few. Sweet Potato, corn, and potato are not even considered “gourmet” here in S. Korea, and have become favorites of mine.
Hi Nate…thanks for stopping by! I would not have thought that “gourmet pizza” would be a popular staple in Asia…interesting to know. Cheers, Mike!
Sounds Really good! I may have to try some of these…

Hi Nicolette…thanks for stopping by! If you try any, let me know what ya think. Cheers, Mike!
I like dessert pizza. It spread low-fat chocolate sauce thinly on dough. It covers with sliced bananas and bake. Thanks!
Hi Denny…I have to say, I’ve never had a “dessert” pizza before…sounds interesting.
