Crazed lookin’ owl

I was visiting my folks in Wickenburg, Arizona when I saw an owl in a tree in broad daylight. I have never seen an owl in the middle of the day before, let alone have an opportunity to photograph one this close up. As you can see, this owl looks just a bit crazed…clearly not used to being up during the day. 🙂

Truth be told…I took many photos, and given the direction I had to shoot, the light was not cooperating…so, I decided to use a fill flash and the reflection caused red-eye on the owl. Below are some additional shots I took with red-eye correction on.
