MikesRoadTrip.com is published by Mike Shubic, an award-winning travel writer and author of 52 Tips to a Perfect Get-Away, and the soon-to-be-released novel, Lines, Signs and Forks – Diaries of a Nomadic Road Tripper. Mike’s Road Trip has been published since early 2010 and is ranked within the top 150 travel blogs from around the world according to Alexa.

Mike has traveled the world working with destinations, PR firms, attractions, and lodging establishments to develop stories, take photos, and produce videos that he publishes and distributes across a network of outlets. Mike was part of the cast of the Travel Channel show, “Best of the Road” in 2012. Mike’s demanding travel schedule fills up quickly, often nearly a year in advance. There are three press trip promotional package options to chose from, for Domestic or International travel.

DOMESTIC PRESS TRIPS

Package A (3 to 4 day trip)

Expectation requirements:

  • All lodging, transportation and activities to be included.
  • Free time built in to discover/flesh out stories, interviews, photos, etc.

Expectation of content created and coverage:

  • Overview story of the trip, typically 750-1500 words. Embedded links to many participating partners.
  • One vignette story on a special experiences/attraction during the trip, typically 250-400 words.
  • Road Diary update (informal post to keep my readers up-to-date)
  • All articles will be supported by quality photographs.
  • One photo gallery on MikesRoadTrip.com of the best images of the trip (typically 20-50 images)
  • Several social media mentions during visit, and, to promote content once developed.

Fee:

  • Package A is $750

Package B (4 to 7 day trip)

Expectation requirements:

  • All lodging, transportation and activities to be included.
  • Free time built in to discover/flesh out stories, interviews, photos and video filming.

Expectation of content created and coverage:

  • Overview story of the trip, typically 750-1500 words. Embedded links to most participating partners.
  • One 5-8 minute travel episode (experiential overview or top-10/best of video).
  • Video promotion will include: MikesRoadTrip.com, YouTube and ROKU.
  • A vignette story on a special experience/attraction during the trip, typically 250-400 words.
  • Two Road Diary updates (informal post to keep readers up-to-date)
  • All articles will be supported by quality photographs.
  • One-two photo galleries on MikesRoadTrip.com of the best images of the trip (typically 20-50 images)
  • Several social media mentions during visit, and, to promote content once developed.
  • YouTube embed code and link will be shared so that video can be utilized on all stakeholder websites and social media networks.

Package C (5 to 7 day trip)
