Super Moon Rises Above Superstition Mountains

They said the March, 2011 “Super” full moon rise would be a spectacular one…so I just had to go out and try and photograph it.  I drove around to find the perfect spot with a cool backdrop.  What I didn’t realize was that I was so close to the bluff that I found, that the angle would require more than an additional hour in order to crest—so, I missed out on the orange glow from the sunset reflection.  Really pretty disappointed…

Tell ya the truth, I didn’t think this “super moon” was anything different than any other full moon.
