Staying coastal in San Diego
The lure of the coast is undeniable. For me, it brings back fond memories as a child playing on the beach and making sand castles with a moat using water from waves washing ashore. As an adult, sunsets, romantic strolls along the beach and surfing always generate lasting memories.
I spent the past couple of weeks in San Diego staying at several cool coastal hotels. I’m working on an article for Travelocity entitled, “5 Cool Coastal Hotels of San Diego.” Here are the hotels I feature:
The Lodge at Torrey Pines – One of the most remarkable coastal hotels I’ve stay at in San Diego.
L’Auberge Del Mar – Has a nostalgic coastal feel and is located just steps from the beautiful Del Mar beach.
Tower 23 – A trendy boutique hotel that evokes that California lifestyle.
Grande Colonial – Perched on a hill off of the famed Prospect Street in the heart of La Jolla this hotel has been serving guests since 1913.
Bed and Breakfast Inn at La Jolla – Located just a block from the beach and near the famed, Seal Rock, La Jolla Cove and shopping district of Prospect Street.
