Plevel Restaurant does Raw in Prague
If you’re not familiar with traditional Czech cuisine, it typically consists of roast pork (or some sort of beef) with dumplings (more like steamed bread) and sauerkraut, along with thicker soups and stew cooked with vegetables and meats, often with heavy cream. Not the most healthful or gastronomic food in the world.
While there is no shortage of outstanding restaurants in the Czech Republic serving international dishes, what is unique are vegetarian, vegan or even raw restaurants. After getting my fill of Czech food, I was delighted to be introduced to Plevel Restaurant, a hip little place in the up-and-coming Prague 10 neighborhood (located on Krymska Street, near the Grebovka vineyard on the border of the Vinohrady and Vrsovice districts).
Plevel (weeds in English) is a hipsters vegetarian eatery offering amazingly creative Vegan and Raw delights that even carnivores will enjoy. After satisfying your palate, head down the street to a cool little place called, Café Neustadt for a cocktail and some awesome live music.
