Maritime Canada road trip in early September

It has been many months in the making, but this September I will be doing an epic Maritime Canadian road trip. For nearly three weeks I will be exploring the islands and provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island (PEI). I have been to Nova Scotia before, but it was over 20 years ago. Visiting New Brunswick and PEI will allow me to check off two more provinces, which will make 9 in total that I have visited.

This road trip has been one of those bucket-list trips that I’ve wanted to go on for the longest time, and I’m so excited for myriad reasons. For starters, I will be leaving the late summer heat of Arizona for the near perfect temperatures of northeastern Canada. With experience road tripping in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador, I have no doubt the scenery will be stunning and I am looking forward to capturing its essence and sharing it with all of you.  From the idyllic fishing villages, to the world’s highest tides in the Bay of Fundy, the tall ship sailing vessels, to the stunning beaches, I have a strong feeling that I will be talking about Maritime Canada for a long time to come.

Another reason I am excited for this trip is that I will be bringing along videographer and editor, Chris Price, who has been working with MikesRoadTrip.com for more than a year now, however this is the first trip we’ve gone on together. I have been a one-man show for seven years (with a few exceptions), one of my on-going goals has always been to improve the quality of the content I produce and share. One way to do this will be by having a second camera on my trips moving forward. Chris will likely do a bulk of the filming for this trip, while I focus more on photos and writing.

If you’ve ever been to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island, please leave a comment below and let me know some of the things I should not miss.
