Hangzhou Global Tour: Day 12

It was a massive travel day today…more than 30 hours in fact. We boarded a plane in Dunhuang and flew to Shanghai where we had a seven-hour layover and ended up needing nearly every minute of it. We were hoping to head into Shanghai for a few hours, but as it was we had some issues checking our massive quantity of luggage, and going through customs where one of our videographers had a battery confiscated for being too high of voltage. The odd thing was, he had flown many earlier legs with it with no problems.

We flew Air France from Shanghai to Paris and it was a tough flight…completely full and the seats for an international flight were unconscionably small, with no legroom to speak of. My knees were literally touching the back of the seat. The food, as well as the inflight entertainment also lack a lot to be desired. Needless to say, after eleven hours in flight, we were very happy to disembark in Paris, but we still had one more leg to go. We finally arrived in Athens around 12:30pm local time.
