Thank You for sharing your adventures!
My pleasure. Thank you so much for following along.
Love this website! Tried to send you a PM but that part is not functional.
Just finished watching your travel channel on my Roku TV about the US Southwest. Thanks so much for these great shows! How do you find these great Boondocking locations? I mean, you can’t just stop on the side of the road or pull into a level area of ground as you are motoring along, can you?
We are going across the country in the late summer/early fall and I would love to just do that so we can see some beautiful stars at night without ambient light. Is this do-able? Do you think it is safe crime and natural danger wise? (Not holding you liable if I get a black widow spider bite so don’t worry!)
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it. I happen to know the Southwest really well, have road tripped all over so I have a good sense of some good places to boondock. Oh yeah, in the west there is a lot of open space where you can camp on BLM or Forest Service land. I often explore many of these dirt roads to see where they lead. Yes, I think it is pretty safe, you will likely not encounter people if you get off the main road a bit. I always travel with a gun just to be safe, but have only ever had one negative encounter. You should be safe from black widows, but scorpions might be another thing. 😉 Hope you have a wonderful and safe trip. All the best, Mike
