Vouge Bistro part deux

Earlier this year I visited Vouge Bistro, one of the best restaurants I’ve discovered in the Surprise, Arizona area. This evening I stopped by once again and enjoyed a lovely meal on the patio with my folk’s, Rick and Lanna. The weather this time of year is perfect for dining outside, the temperature was a mild 75 degrees.

The menu at Vogue Bistro is an interesting mix of traditional French and American dishes, some fused to create truly delicious meals. For example, we shared some bruschetta that had warm brie and apples…it was divine. The brushetta toppings actually change each day.

My step-father Rick tried a traditional meatloaf meal with Black Angus beef served with AuGratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a rich sherry sauce. My mom had a 6oz grass-fed grilled tenderloin, also served with AuGratin potates, seasonal local vegetables and an exquisite Argentinian Malbec wine sauce. I had the daily special, which consisted of several scallops, fingerling potatoes and a unique and flavorful sauce topped with radishes and other herbs.

For dessert we spit the Pineapple Tatin, which is basically a delicate pineapple upside-down tart, as well as the Crème Brûlé…both were delectable.
