In Berkley for insideHERE event

I’m in the Bay area the rest of the week participating in an insideHERE event. If you’re not familiar with HERE, they are a leader in the navigation and mapping industry,  based in Germany with offices in Berkley, California. The company invited a handful of cartographers, technology journalists and travel bloggers to participate in an event in which they would share the latest projects they are working on. The objective is to get feedback from company outsiders within the industry.

HERE is also building high-definition (HD) maps and combining them with cloud technology to help businesses navigate a complex world of personalized solutions. The goal is to be able to provide access everywhere, anytime, across a broad range of devices, operating systems and vehicles. HERE is at the forefront of the autonomous vehicle movement and we even got to see some demos of their products in action. It has been a real treat to be included and I hope to share more on the innovative things that HERE is developing in the near future.
